Who we are

Some seeds take a decade to bloom.

My name is Bianca, and my journey here started over ten years ago with a batch of whipped shea butter in my kitchen and a curiosity about plants that simply wouldn't let go. That curiosity led me to herbalism, and herbalism, eventually, led me to doula work.

I came to doula training because I was paying attention to what was happening to Black mothers in this country, and I knew I wanted to do something about it. Then, right in the middle of my studies, life surprised me. I became a mother myself, in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic. I felt firsthand what it means to need real support in those tender early weeks after birth, and what it means to actually have it.

Soft Earth Botanicals grew out of all of it: the plants, the doula training, the motherhood. Today, my primary work is postpartum doula support for families in Westchester County, care that's rooted in cultural awareness, genuine presence, and a deep respect for what this season asks of a woman. Alongside that, I hand-craft small-batch body care, soaps, butters, oils, and soaks, made the way I'd want them made for my own postpartum body.

If any part of this resonates with you, I invite you to stay a while. I have so much to share.

A soft place to land, for new mothers returning to themselves.
